SAVE THE DATES: Pamplin Gove 2016

Saturday, Sunday & Monday,
July 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 2016

Certain places and special stuff happen only in Humboldt:  Fern Canyon, Crabs at the yard or on dock C, Jazz by the Bay, Humboldt Roller Derby, Dell’Arte, a world class festival in a small town, Arcata’s Oyster Festival, and Richard’s annual Party at Pamplin Grove.

Most of these treasures you have to be told of or in the know, ...anyone can catch fireworks on the 4th of July!

Well you're in luck! Richard Salzman hereby DOES invite you to his annual gathering at Pamplin Grove.

The 13th Annual Community Cookout at Pamplin Grove - in Humboldt County, California USA will be on the weekend of July 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2016.

Ask anyone who's been!  It is a fabulous place to stay the weekend, or  just cruise in for dinner on Sunday in this majestic cathedral of old growth redwoods on the banks of the Van Duzen River.  Now that you've enjoyed this lovely restoring winter rain. Warm your heart with thoughts of skinny dipping the Van Duzen in the hot July sun, ...think of the heat.

You and any friends, family, and well behaved dogs are all welcome.  Individual campsites sleeps from 1 to 15 people.  You can pretty much get all you want to eat up at the cookhouse, so if you are camping, you don't need much more then a tent, a sleeping bag and pad to be comfortable. Interesting people in abundance. Music, sunshine, volleyball, horseshoes, swimming holes and a bonfire are included.

Gates open at noon on Saturday July 2nd and this year the big potluck dinner will be on Sunday afternoon July 3rd.  A breakfast will be served at the cookhouse on Monday morning July 4th and a light supper that evening for those wishing to stay another night (early arrivals before Saturday may be an option, as well as staying over past Tuesday, we’ll know for sure a week out from the event).

Car pools from the airport and loaner camping gear can be arranged for out of town guests, and if you don't want to camp, there are motels in nearby Fortuna.  You are also welcome to just come out for the day and enjoy the big potluck on Sunday!

A formal invite will follow this summer, but mark your calendar now and plan to be in Humboldt County on July 2, 3, & 4, 2016.

No fee is required but if you can help chip in for the cost of the campground, please do so online here: http://fnd.us/c/515XG8/sh/5ZcJe
